Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Dr. Strong offers a thorough, in-depth evaluation of your vision. As an M.D., he has a foundation of 4-year medical school education and subsequent 4-year ophthalmology residency specialization. This broad medical background allows for an understanding of how ‘outside the eye’ medical conditions affect eye health and allows both medical and surgical treatments.
Every comprehensive eye exam visit at Strong Eye Care involves a complete medical history and dilated examination of the eye. We accurately measure glasses prescriptions with a 3 step process including automated computerized measurement of the eye, followed by the classic ‘which is better 1 or 2’ refraction and is completed after dilation by measuring the focus of a light beam reflected off the retina.
We do not sell glasses or contacts, so rest assured there is no conflict of interest when we provide a new prescription and recommend a new pair or advise no change is needed.
A dilated eye exam allows for screening for serious eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders. When indicated, we offer advanced testing devices such as mapping of the corneal surface, laser scanning of the retina, 3D imaging of the optic nerve, and computerized peripheral vision measurement.
Dr. Strong will explain his findings in an approachable, easy-to-understand way, and answer any questions.
Whether seeking the reassurance of a regular eye checkup or a second opinion on a complex eye disorder, Strong Eye Care offers comprehensive eye care to protect your vision.
